This is a deep amber with a short but dense, long-lasting light tan head that leaves a little lacing. The aroma is faintly caramelly/toasty malt with flowery hops, nuts, leaves, pine, earth, and hint of fruit. The taste is a full caramelly, malty body with flowery, earthy, hops, faint fruitiness, hint of nuts and pine, a perfectly balanced bitterness with sweetness, followed by a long, smooth finish that slides over the toungue, leaving a nice toasted grain aftertaste. It’s smooth, drinkable, but very tasty: very satisfying and what I would expect and want from a good bitter. It has a perfect sweet-bitter balance with both traits persistent simultaneously.

I love this beer. Its brown and creamy with a good head. Evident malt flavors with nice hop balance. I got it for about $10 a four pack and i will get it again.

Nice clear amber colour with a fine white head. Fruit aroma with notes of toffee. Nice crisp flavour of caramel and fruit. Good hoppy bitterness. Very fine balanced. One of my favorites!

I like this beer. Haven’t drank enough beer from both draught and can to compare the tastes, but if it only gets better with the draught I’ll be back to post a five star when I have some on tap. It has a real nice flavor. Slightly smoky and sweet. Great appearance.

Thanks to dogbrick, I was able to recieve one of these ales. It is tasy stuff with a nice gold color. Light and smooth with a slight bitterness that I like.

You know, some of these "widget beers" can be really hit or miss, but Abbot Ale is right on. Nice yellow/organge color and thick white head give it a great appearnce, and the taste is excellent. A smooth creamy brew that goes really well with a juicy steak. I'll definitely share this one with my friends.
