Aug 24, 2008 Quite a strong flavoured beer is Abbot Ale. at 5% quite strong as well. I think its a not a beer i’d choose to drink. There are better ales.

Aug 22, 2008 500mL can purchased from LCBO in Toronto. Pours a clear, medium gold with little head. Decent malty aroma. Enjoyed on a warm night, just after finishing some work and before a downpour started - so I could be "refreshing beer" biased. I’m even having it fridge-cold. And it IS hitting the spot right now. Not complicated. Smooth upfront with decent maltiness, turning into fruity English hoppiness as it goes down. Better than I expected.
