Cask - Fat Cat, Norwich. Clear copper coloured body with a dissipating, frothy off-white head. Sweet nose - caramel malts and a subtle fruity tone. GK sweet caramel malts/dry bitter hops with some earth and a grassiness in the flavour. Lingering finish and a medium body.

Filtered/pasteurised bottle. Dead brilliant russet with a slim white lid. Buttered English apple, marzipan spread on cardboard aroma. Slick but watery with oak, apple yeastiness and marzipan notes. Finish bitter but hopless and nasty. Plenty of alcohol presence. A joyless, buttery, cardboard-accented beer I’m not going to finish.

Clear medium to dark orange amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, fruity - mango - orange, toffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090102]

Cask Conditioned at J.D. Wetherspoon - The Masque Haunt, London
Beautiful amber color; thin frothy head. Light aroma. It has a good caramel and malt flavor, quite round body, some residual sweetness, a feeling of maturity and alcohol warmth. Good.

From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a small white head. Fruity hops and mild roasted caramel malt aroma. Sweet ad rather fruity flavoured. Holds a decent caramel malt base. Leads into a mild acidic/citric bitterness with a mild spice hoppy note alongside. Rather biter finish with a light phenolic touch. Quite fruity lasting far finish.
