Cask at The Friendship, Fallowfield, Manchester. Attractive dark copper colour with medium off-white head. Aroma is yeast and fruits. Initially rounded malt on the tongue with a strange banana bubblegum note in the slightly sweet finish. Not as full-bodied as the 6.5% would suggest but a full body all the same. Decent autumnal beer but nothing to get over-excited about.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys, Bracknell. Golden amber with a ring of off-white head; intense aroma of roasted malt and caramelraisin sweetness in the mouth with lots of dark sugar supported by a chewy malt body; quite a prickly mouthfeel. The finish is long and warming with vanilla and oak.

Bottle @ Beer Exposed, September 2008.
Pours a nice, coppery amber with a small, bubbly, off-white film head. Super caramel aroma, weak roasted malts as well as yeast and raisins. Highish carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour just has a touch of metal, but otherwise is nice. Good caramel, some woody notes and good, dry bitterness in the finish. Nice.
