Draught @ Clockwork Beer Co. Brewpub, 153-1155 Cathcart Road, Mount Florida, Glasgow G42 9BH, Scotland. [ As Westgate Ale Pril Fool ].
Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted - nutty, creamy caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate nutty bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090410]

(Cask at Waterfront, Diss) Another Greene King ’guest’ ale. Dark red with a small white head. Toffeish malt and some red fruit, berries all in the aroma. Taste is sugary sweet fruit with some malt backing and a little hop bitterness to finish. Was nice with the chedder I was eating. Smooth and medium bodied. Unimpressive - an average bitter really. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Bishops Tavern, Bristol 21/04/09. Brown with a slight, off-white head. Indifferent malty brew, with some fruit and sweetness and not much else. Forgettable.

Cask conditioned at The Old Bookbinders, Oxford. Dark brown with white head. Quite sweet and overbearing fruity, bordering on a sicky flavour then the trademark G.K hop which I really can’t get on with. Not very pleasant.
