Cask at The Grid Inn, Southfields during "Spoons Fest in a Day" crawl, 2nd Nov 08. Clear amber with a lively, lacy head. Light & drinkable palate. Quite nutty malt taste. You can tell it is a GK beer. Ok, but not inspiring.

Cask, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Amber with a dense cream head. Aromas are caramel malts with melon and grapefruit. Fresh and zesty. Flavours are dry and woody with biscuit malts. Grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Decent.

Cask@Castle Inn, Bakewell, Derbyshire. Brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is weakly malty, and the flavour is lightly roasted, gently bitter, and milldy malty. Overall a very average bitter.

[Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading.] Gold with a dense white head that leaves good lacing; smooth and creamy, slightly sour and dry, then some sweet malts and a light dry spicy finish. Restrained and rather elegant.
