| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Amber with a white head. Aroma of toffee and forced carbonation. Flavour of toffee and slight caramel bitterness without much hop presence. Why can’t GK make the effort to try doing something a bit different every now and again? Yawn! sm89walt (450), Canterbury, Kent, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Bottle. Dark amber with a one finger - though quick to dissipate - off-white head. Boiled sweets, caramel malts and toffee apple aromas. Apples, spices and caramel dominate the flavour. Quite a thin body with medium carbonation and a short bitter finish. It’s Greene King, it’s a pasteurised brown bitter. You do the maths. downender (2583), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Bottle from Sainsburys. Red-amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Earthy malt and sweet fruit aroma. Flavour of barley sugar, with some more earthiness and short bitter finish. Unmemorable. Magicdave6 (5491), London, Greater London, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2009 Bottle from sainsburies had at home. Alround rating: Toffee and caramel malts, the green king appley yeast is there but a bit of fruitcake manages to stay ontop of it. A better than usual offering from green king. imdownthepub (5139), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Bottled, 500ml from Sainsburys, Banbury. Chestnut with cream head. I tensed myself up for the GK ’taste experience’, and it wasn’t there, in fact this was fairly pleasing. Caramel and soft fruits, quite light and restrained with a hint of coriander. Not a world beater but reasonable and quite drinkable. berkshirejohn (1808), Bracknell, Berkshire, England

Reddish copper with a fast fading white head, and moderate carbonation; aroma of rich, slightly spicy, caramel malts; spicy fruit flavours; and a lightly spiced sweet bitter finish with perhaps a touch of lemon. Not bad for GK. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England
