Flavour is fruity, hoppy and of fresh wood (newly cut wood). Wellbalanced and smooth, but quite one-dimensional and standard bitter... Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 20, 2006 Uninspiring. I think this was past its best. Aroma was malt dominated, a bit over roasted. Taste is similar, with a slight sourness, near no hops character. Flat and lifeless. Sobchak (131), Skagen, Denmark

The taste is pretty malty, with a short hoppy fruityness in the finish, but with hardly any aftertaste. SilkTork (4184), Rochester, Kent, England

An interesting beer from this would be global brewer. Reasonably fruity, hoppy ale with some body and a touch of bitterness.
Fully endorse comments by chris_o regarding the uselessness ( to a beer drinker) of its website. A typical bland large corporate website with little imagination and no humour used in its content and presentation. chriso (4851), London, Greater London, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2005 Updated: Feb 2, 2006Cask (handpump), Knights Templar, Chancery Lane. Deep russet colour, with a thin beige head. Usual Wetherspoon temperature masks the aroma most effectively. Very fruity - mainly berries, but some cherry too - with some oddly dry toffee. The mouthfeel is a touch too light to carry the flavour. Not bad, but not really a winter warmer (which I presume is the intention). Greene King take my prize for the most useless large brewery website. Lots of financial information, of course. What it says about its beers is almost entirely limited to its major brands and the seasonals aren’t mentioned at all. Says a lot about Greene King’s priorities..
