Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle only.
Brewed to complement food, we use the lightest malts and Tettnang hops to achieve the unique pale golden colour, crisp taste and dry finish. This unique blend makes Hop the ideal accompaniment to spicy dishes, seafood and poultry. The Tettnang hops, imported from Washington State and Oregon, give the beer its soft melon aroma and complete the dry finish.

What’s with the "fancy" clear bottle? Very drinkable ale with nice (British) hoppy notes. Not interesting at all. However, it worked quite well with a spicy curry dish.

750 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. I had to try this one, despite being sceptical to the gimmicky name: IMO, most good beers are worth "to dine for" (with a possible exception of the very sweetest ones), so why should this one be different? It isn’t - it’s basically a decent standard golden ale, where the Tettnang hops (more commonly found in German lagers) shine through nicely. Citrussy aroma, notes of flowers and honey. Pleasant lightbodied flavour with a moderate but decent hoppiness throughout, nice but nothing spectacular. No doubt good with food (I must admit that my "dining" was limited to a couple slices of pizza), but again: so are many other beers.

75 cl bottle. No yeast in bottom. Yellow colour with a nice but fast disappearing foam. RIch of aroma hops. Very clean taste that ends up in a delicious mouthfull of hops.

Here’s the meal I ate with the beer: Fry courgettes (zucchini) in olive oil with garlic. When golden, add lots of mint and parsley leaves and lemon juice. Quick boil. Serve with Parma ham. Followed by fresh mango. Delicious. The beer was a bit thin and tasteless. At least it didn’t spoil my dinner.

Bottle. Light amber color with small white head. The taste is a sweet light hoppy body with a thin and boring finish.

Bottled. Clear amber coloured with a small fast disappearing head. Aroma of malts, butter, caramel and spices. Strange flavour of butter, malts and caramel with notes of spices. Hoppy finish.
