Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle only.
Brewed to complement food, we use the lightest malts and Tettnang hops to achieve the unique pale golden colour, crisp taste and dry finish. This unique blend makes Hop the ideal accompaniment to spicy dishes, seafood and poultry. The Tettnang hops, imported from Washington State and Oregon, give the beer its soft melon aroma and complete the dry finish.

Nice clear bottle proudly displaying its light golden color (when I saw this on the table of beers at Rich’s Yeha, I thought it was a cider until I read the label). Poured with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of grass with a light malty sweetness. Thin body.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Pale gold, high carbonation. Light aroma, slightly sweet and a touch stale. Flavour is thin malt, boiled sweets, stale and somewhat bitter, weak hopping levels. Stupid light struck beer.

Blind tasting session, Bottled. Oops! Greene King, clear bottle. No way this is going to be tasty! But I didn’t have this disadvantage, because it was a blind tasting session and I bet it would score higher if more had rated it this way. Aroma of grapes and green apples but also malty and flowery. Sweet, maybe even a bit too sweet, light fruity sourness, light bitter start but certainly pretty bitter in the finish which is dry of course. In the flavor also the malts and flowers.

Lovely gold colour, white head & nice lacework.Fragrant, flowery hop aroma, medium bodied, slightly sweet malty palate, with the hoppy flavours appearing quickly. The whole mellows to a nicely balanced finish.I didn’t have it with food but it would go well with a lighlty spiced dish. Tesco.
