I know there’s a difference between American and English versions of the IPA, but I don’t think I can chalk up the lackluster impression of this beer to differences in style. Clear reddish amber with barely off-white head that looks like medium consistency oatmeal (not as impressive or resilient as the Spitfire I just had). Leaves a wall of lacing that’s sticky, but somehow unappealing. Smells like corn starch mated with cinnamon Altoids, with the latter smell predominant. Taste is mealy, fatty, undeveloped (especially in the hop character). Slightly better than what I would imagine an average homebrew tastes like. Unfermented sugars add a tinge of cloying sweetness. Corny. Hops (what little there are) are oxidized. Fattiness continues into finish with lingering metal-clad hops. Bland but drinkable beer. Thare ARE worse but there there are many better beers available. Two thing to remember.... one its not a proper IPA however second it may be an average beer but it is consistantly average. Gethinbeer (1006), Nova Scotia, Canada

However has a nice amber colour. Intial sip had a bland watery taste, pint did’nt get much better. Weak. Bottle of this beer much better I remember. Finn (1510), Tromsø, Norway
