Whilst no great shakes it is through lack of choice probably my regular tipple in my local. A good session beer, but where I live I’d rather the choice of Chiswick, Hooky, Youngs etc any day. The aroma is very light with notes of caramel - too light for my liking. The flavor is roasted toffeish on a mineral background, and with a dry rather bitter end. The body is somewhat thin. joergen (8638), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The beer they sent for judging at last year’s Great British Beer Festival tasting was nothing like the bog standard GK IPA you get in the bland pubs you see in GK estates. My view was a ’special IPA’ was brewed for the Champion Beer tasting panel. How else can something so bland, un-interesting and shite win silver??? Standards people, come on!
