The rest of the story gets really boring: thinnish taste, some British hops...why did I order a WHOLE pint.. CaptainCougar (5544), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2005 Cask at the Anchor Pub, Cambridge: Transparent deep copper with a frothy, dense, well-lacing, cream-colored head. Subtle, earthy hoppy aroma has a touch of toasty caramel malt. Body starts clean, semi-sweet and bitter with some notes of bread and grassiness. Finishes crisp and bitter with a decent balance. bittermansid (3), Scotland does not count | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Sep 7, 2005 Thin, bland & uninspiring - I know this beer is often poorly kept, but this one wasn’t. It was just very, very dull... madsberg (5110), Søborg, Denmark

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 14, 2005 Had this on tap in a pub, a decent bitter beer, dark appearance, bitter isn’t one of my favorite types, but decent in its own right Mungo (2473), Southampton, Hampshire, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 27, 2005 Cask-conditioned. Fruity aroma and some earthiness. Medium sweetness and quite low bitterness. Odd nutty kind of astringent flavour. Unexceptional but easy drinking session beer. It often tastes stale on cask as there is nowhere for the staleness to hide. leaparsons (4756), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 16, 2005 Cask, The Cedars, Leicester. Amber with a small dense off-white head. Aromas are sweet toffee malts with caramel, sulphur and some dry hops. Flavours are sweet light malts with caramel and hints of fruit. Dry on the finish with a chalky aftertaste. Thin, unimpressive and definately not an IPA.
