Cask at the pub at Seven Dials square. Some hops, some sourness. Thin. Not very inspiring. And definitely not an IPA.

Cask at The Horseshoe Inn, Southwark. Couldn’t get much aroma. Maybe citrus. Deep amber color with orange hilites. A sour hint of grapefruit, puckerish, malt is present, but doesn’t last the finish, which is a bit woody and definitely bitter. Very nice.

Yuck.. humid tasting, skunky .. light bodied with a wierd combo of fruits and leather. My first experience in an English pub... and i really dont get why they had it at all the other pubs i went to???

If this is the best selling cask beer in brian then something cannot be right. Bland lifeless, no distinctive flavours from anything.

A thin, aroma-less beer resembling a bitter drinker’s worst nightmare. Due to low turnover, it is frequently in poor condition in non-Greene King pubs, but even when found in top condition this is about as uninspiring as it gets. Avoid at all costs.

Casked. Dark amberish brown colour, small white head, which lasts for a good while. Malts and some grass in aroma. Flavour is a bit better with some bitterish notes added to the malts and grass. A rather thin beer.

Cambridge, UK, Dec 2006. Seeing the guy hand pumping the brew got me excited - about the beer. For no good reason; just another bland factory brew. I knew the English IPAs are typically not as hoppy as American, but gimme a break with the 3.6% ABV, without hops or malt you just got water and yeast, I think this one even skimped on the yeast! It tastes like water! Am I in England??! Or did the USA win the war??
