zach8270 (1404), Henrietta, New York, USA Apr 13, 2008 (cask @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Light orange in color with a thick and puffy white head. Aroma is almost non-existent, but what I could smell was sweet and yeasty. Flavor was very weak as well. Some bitterness and malt near the beginning that disappeared quickly and left a bitter aftertaste. Not a fan.
NosirIwont (864), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 Cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg. Pours a clear copper colour with a white head. Mild, sweetish aroma. Nothing special. Mildly bitter flavour. A bit of wood, but not much. Slight notes of cereals and bread as well. Finish has a lingering bitterness with slight alcohol and bread notes. Feels a bit thin. Soft palate, but in a bit of a cloying way. Feels stale. An inoffensive beer. 26-07-08. faroeviking (4134), Faroese Beer Republic über, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 Cask @ the Wharf, Aalborg. Clear deep amber colour with a short white head. aroma of toasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. Soft fair mouthfeel. Sweetish malty flavour with bitter hops and caramel. Well lasting dry soft bitter finish. yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild fruity hops and malt aroma. Flavour is dry and bitter with a distinct dry malt base and a mild fruity accent. Dry and bitter. Ends this way with a mild classic pilsner bitterness. asheft (784), Marburg, Germany May 31, 2008 [cask]
Very nice Goldings aroma with a touch of pine-laden toffee. Clear dark amber with long-lasting, clingy white flanel blanket. Surprisingly complex for such a small beer: nutty and apple-y malt with some tobacco/raisin and rounded, subtle bitterness. Very quaffable! JK54B (291), Finland May 28, 2008 Cask RA. Copper brown colour. Nice but flat head. Fresh proper hopping. Bite of hops in the end.
