500ml Bottle: Pours a thin, red-orange colour with almost no head. What head was there didn’t stay long. Not unexpected from a long-traveled clear bottle but the initial aroma is skunk, some hops, and brown sugary malts. Flavour is lemon, dry white wine, toffee, light rye bread, and caramel. All a bit muted, and the whole package is a bit underwhelming. Not bad, but I question the IPA promise on the label.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry English style hops with some dry malt. Taste is also quite dry with some noticeable hops with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with OK carbonation. I thought this was a bit too dry and lacking in floral notes.

bottle. Poured clear red-amber with off-white head. Pungent hop aroma, almost skunky. Medium mouthfeel, malty body. Citrus earthy notes. Medium bitterness, but less than traditional IPA’s which makes this one very easy to drink

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. Nice amber color. Sweetish aroma with candyish and perfumed english hops, orange marmelande and weird onion scent. Sweet nutty, chocolatey, caramelly and candyish flavor with medium bitterness. OK to drink but needs more hops. The hoppiness is hardly at the level of standard pale ale.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber body with a light off white head. Lightly hoppy with some earthy bitterness. Thin malt body not much going on here.

Clear bottle. Pours light mahogany, small thin head. Nose is sweet, citruisy hops. Tastes of sweet hops, slight malt (caramel), somewhat bitter and slightly astringent. Leaves an off putting sour taste in the mouth (I usually like sourness). Possible it did not travel well. My first English IPA, and I will be drinking more as this is definitely not American IPA.

Got from LCBO sat jan 17th to try my first real IPA (alexander keiths not one). This was a smooth going down with a hint of caramel was noted not much of a head when pored. Discovered a bitter aftertaste but dissapates quickly. I wouldn’t drink this on ongoing basis.
