An above average canned bitter, ok for quaffing, inoffensive stuff. SledgeJr (2972), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Pours a soft amber with a white head. I get a metallic flavor. Benign and boring ale. Sorry, Elliott. Lots of folks call this a "session beer." Once again, does "session beer" mean you can sit around and drink all day and night? I don’t get it. Why not drink one great beer and call it quits for the day? Clear amber with a sudsy white head, it has a caramel and bready malt aroma with some juicy apples and a hint trace of herbal hops. The flavor is caramel with a bit of nuttiness. The light hop tastes come through mainly on the finish. This isn’t anything great, but I can see putting a few of these away on a lazy afternoon.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 6, 2005 Large can. Pours dark straw with medium, uniform, off-white head. Smells of bready malt, subdued hops, and some fruit/berries. Tastes bready-malty, with some corn flake elements, and some finishing, subdued hops and a slight metallic twinge which gets worse as it warms. This one is on the fringe of being decent, but it comes up second best. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

When I saw the big old yellow and green cans I just had to try them...then I saw she charged me $7. I almost changed my mind....and in hindsight I certainly should have. Aroma is all aluminum, plus a hint of the skunk fluid held within. Yes---I know this isn’t an American IPA, but they could’ve at least thrown some of those Challenger hops into the boil....it did no good to just leave them in the sack next to the kettle. Maybe something akin to maltiness in the taste, but I’m not sure. I’d ask my wife, but I can see she’s already at the sink pouring hers out....damn, she beat me to it. Stay clear of this mess. joergen (8632), Frederiksberg, Denmark
