Bottled, first in the Montreal IPA Fest with MartinT, tiggmtl, Lubiere and Rastacouere. OK, so its not really an IPA despite what it calls itself...damn English beer-taxonomy! 660 ml clear bottle. Luminous copper-brass color; smelly-grassy slightly skunked nose with a bit of caramel maltiness underneath...fairly hoppy, slightly metallic...dry cardboardy malt...fairly poor overall.

Clear, pale bronze color, with a sturdy, creamy head. Aroma: a bit unusual, at least to this nose, nutty, fruity, sweet and candyish, almost like a green jolly rancher..."appley", that’s it! Taste: fresh, bright, touch sour, a bit creamy and light, and then,...it’s gone! Hello, taste? Where’d you go? There’s a brief, appley ring of flavor around the mouth, but it zips away, quick as it can. Body is nil, flavor vacated, texture not accountablle...I’d heard good things about this brand, but, unfortuntely, on this occasion, I had me a big can of nothin’!

The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 15. This draft brew from the Sherlock Holmes restaurant in London poured a small sized head of off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The aroma was very mild and malty or non-existent. It had a smooth mouth feel with a mild malt hop finish. A typical English IPA with next no no hops in the flavor only malt. Its palate was flat and unremarkable.

Copper-amber colour, thin white head. Spicy aroma, resiny and earthy hoppiness. Malty flavour with a lot of hop character. Quite nice, but not the second best beer I had in England.

Nice rusty colour but alas not much flavour, one for knocking back with a curry.

A slight fruitiness, not a very strong alcohol content, very good session beer but nothing more than that.

no head, very deep red/brown colour. Not an IPA at 3.6%. Why is this given two different style names. not much in the way of hop character, and a bit watery.
