Light citrussy aroma, a little sourish malt. Pours light gold with quickly dimishing white head, flavour citrussy, sweet and a bit bland. Palate thin and fizzy, finish pleasantly hoppy and dry. Overall a bit dull. Not a great golden ale.

A guest ale at Morrisons, pale gold, thin patchy white head, little in the way of a nose, slightly malty. Medium bodied, there is an unpleasant sweetness the becomes quite dominant, and although there is a fair amount of hops there too, this sweetness overpowers and spoils the overall experience.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Gld with a thin white head; deep leafy hop aroma immediately jumps out when openned; thin body, some sweet fruit and citrus with an underlying bitterness; chewy hop finish. Typical GK.

Bottle, from Tesco. Gold, moderate lasting white head and low condition. Sweet caramel and hop resin on the nose, gentle melony sweetness and underlying hop resin bitterness in the mouth and a dry finish with hop flower notes quite apparent.

Bottle. Some citrus but not enough to make this worthwhile. Typical GK unpleasant astringent malt. A bit pants and I’m glad I didn buy this.

Bottle from Oxford Tesco 01-11-07 Some citrus and honey on the nose also barley sugar, poured gold with white head. Tasted fine if a bit plain but a reasonable balance of honey sweetness and bitterness carried it through.

Bottled, 500ml, pasteurised. From Tesco in Banbury. Gold with slight head, dull. Thin, slightly watery beer but with the GK signature hop flavour, a mix between wet cardboard and fag ends. There are a few citric notes that struggle through but on the whole it is a fairly poor brew. Unfortunate.
