Clear, deep red brown body with some big rising bubbles and a big quick foamy light tan head. Same sweet fig fruit flavour mixes with medium alcohol and light plastic, finish ends sweetly. Medium-full body is a little thin with noticeable alcohol. Big and boozy but nice sweet bonding. JohnnyOlhus (43), Amager (Copenhagen), Denmark

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Sudsy brownish-white head that lured me into the ruby, caramel-russet colored body. Sugary caramel nose with hints of toffee and a prevalent fragrance of creamy oak that carried well onto the palate. Sweet and candied balmy vim. Very classy beer with a venturesome swagger. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Bottle. Pours light mahogny with a big tan head. Sweet caramel aroma with hints of berries. Tart berries flavours mix with sweet caramel before a rather dry hoppy finish. Alcohol. One more, please. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Bottle from the LCBO. Dark ruby brown body, good sized tan head fades away. (3+) Sweet charred caramel aroma, light musty basement notes. 2nd wave of the aroma is surprisingly alcoholic. Flavour is much more dry than I expected, lots of toasty malt and alcohol is noticeable - more in the mouth feel and its contribution to the dry character than any boozy alcohol flavours. Some lovely caramel malt notes do not get to shine at first, but come out a bit more as the glass goes on. (7+) Average palate could be more full for my liking, bit it is adequate. Grows on me - a session strong? Marsiblursi (1658), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 12, 2007 (Bottle) Pours beautiful dark red. Very nice malt aroma with tones of fudge, toffee, honey, light caramel, light coffee and tiny chocolate like roast. Fruity with dark, dried fruits upfront but also some apricot and oranges. Also rather vinous with notes of oak, vanilla, grapes and other berries. Nice, balanced flavour with a sourish fruity sting, mostly oranges but also soma darker fruits and berries. Also hints of chocolate, vanilla and some oak wood like notes. Light to medium bitter. The aroma promises more then the flavour delivers. Medium body. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 10, 2007 Hazy mahoganey. Creamy tan head. Has a bretty sour aroma, with some dry mineral water. First part of taste is sour brett. But overall it is a light flavor. It seems a bit oaky, like a rich brown ale with a lot of the sweetness taken up by the brett... I don’t know... it is pretty good but lacks depth. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA

A bret intense aroma lightly sour cherries and other fruits some sweet plum sauce some light oaks. Quite nice. Palate is a little thin well coated. Flavor is alright... oddly tart a little sour cherry.. a bit thin a bit watery.. not to bad.
