The aroma is very faint but fresh with notes of fruit. The flavor is lovely dominated by fruityness. You taste the aroma hops more than you smell it. It is very flowery on the tongue and end on a fruity but insisting bitterness. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 26, 2003 Cask Conditioned Hazy golden color. Light hop, fruity aroma. Fresh, but light taste, with enough fruitness. Ordinary palate. imdownthepub (5188), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 4, 2004 Bottled, Pateurised. Pale amber colour with bubbly short-lived head. This is a harsh acidic dry beer with a hoppy character. The harshness continues into the finish, quite dissapointing really. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2003 Another of the ubiquitous summer ales that everyone does these days. A well-made example, not as pale in colour as some, more a pale orangey colour. The usual fruity/flowery tones, but nicely bitter on the finish, giving it the refreshing character that was no doubt intended. Handpump, Greene King Brewery Tap, May 2003

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2004 Cask conditioned - handpump - Six Bells Farnham. A light golden coloured beer with loads of citric hops in both the aroma and the taste. This is an excellent cask ale reminding me of good beers from Roosters brewery. If this had won silver at CBOB rather than the IPA I could have believed it. bhensonb (4392), Woodland, California, USA

Citrus/floral smell. I would drink it again. Note from 10/14/2004. SilkTork (4192), Rochester, Kent, England
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 3, 2004 Dog & Bone, Gillingham. A salty golden ale with an earthy citric bite. Not much of interest on this showing. Served too warm and generally not pleasant. FatPhil (3507), Espoo, Finland

Aroma had potential - zesty hops. But the body let this down. Thin, and a bit gutless. Hops definitely there, but can’t carry it. Not bad as GK goes.
