haddonsman (1205), Derby, Derbyshire, England Aug 23, 2005 Cask conditioned and handpulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Rough brown bitter, roasted malty taste, subtle sweetness lingers on the lips. Ethereal (927), London, Greater London, England Apr 4, 2008 Cask at the Brewery Tap in Wimbledon Village, 2nd April 2008. Black with a creamy white head, it looks more like a certain famous stout than a bitter. The head leaves good lacing and there is a nice milk chocolate and roasted malt aroma. It tastes similar, with the the liquorice coming through as well. Very smooth and easy to drink. I went back for a second. Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England May 19, 2005 Reading Beer Festival. A hazy, amberish beer. Very fruity and refreshing with some bitterness and an odd touch of butter. Maria (4761), Thisted, Denmark Sep 21, 2008 TFODRBSG08 Courtesy of Yngwie. It’s a dark brown beer with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of hops, light coffee and licorice. The flavour has a roasted bitterness and light notes of coffee and licorice. It’s light, but quite tasty and it ends with a dry bitterness.
