fonefan (4888), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 1, 2008 Cask (handpump) @ The Crown & Kettle, Manchester, England M4 5FE. Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, grass, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average and long duration, very refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light light metalic. I rather assumed this is a rebadge but it doesn’t seem to match up with any other Greenfield beers on the site so I’m not so sure. Amber coloured with a creamy head. Moderate spicy, tangy hops. Slightly tart mouthfeel but clean and easy drinking. A respectable citrus accented bitter.
Mes_and_Sim (4495), Highgate, Greater London, England Jan 2, 2008 A Sim rate (cask at... Crown & Kettle): Hoppy aroma... and oh so subtle at that. Flowery citric hops. Fresh. It’s the Spring in this wintery Manchester. Colour is a pale let-down, but redeemed by the lasting lace. Hopsy, hopsy flavour... and abusive with it. Tastes like a rich wine gravy mixed with hops. Very tart in the finish.
