flavored like a pilsner but the rest is absent. It taste
grainy, as if the correct flavoring malts were used but not the
actual malt itself.
Re rate: This is a big turnaround. Aroma is grainy, and sharp hops are in the nose. Sweetness in flavor, but mostly it is a typical german pilsener that has a fresh, somewhat crisp taste. GermanBrews76 (667), Eugene, Oregon, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2004 Bottle pours a slightly hazy light straw, small creamy white head, attractive lacing, with soft carbonation. Very light straw aroma with some pear mixed in. Grassy up front, with a slight graininess. Minor tinges of pear and flora blend in. Not as clean and crisp on the finish as I would prefer, but still this one isn’t too bad. Thanks goes out to ross8425 for the trade!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2004 has a different taste than i am used to. not as crisp and clean as i was expecting, but hey, every beer is different. drank it from the bottle, because i dont really enjoy pouring pilsners- they all look the same, there is no point. has a fruity taste that i cant really pinpoint. still good, one of these guys better brews. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2005 This was an almost perfect pils for the beach - cool and crisp, lightly sweet, a dusting of peppery hops. Plenty of flavor yet still light and refreshing. (OBX-2005) Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Nose is the quintessential sweet malt, crisp and clean with the start somewhat sweet, the grain profile light and the top thin. Finish has a moderate acidity and the hops standard for the style, dry lingering aftertaste, drinkable but nothing to shout about. BrewEd (182), Wilmington, North Carolina, USA
