From tap at the brewery. Served in a stein krug, so I’m not able to see the color, but the head is nice. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel and the flavour has a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness, that makes this lager refreshing. It also has notes of malt, caramel and citrus.

Aug 9, 2008 (7/2/08) Draught at the brewpub in Bamberg. Aroma is malty and a bit earthy. Sweet malty flavor with some light butterscotch and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied.

Nov 17, 2007 On tap at the brewpub, 7/11/07. Deep golden coloured with a decent foamy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, hay and some grassy hops. Flavour was malty with some red fruit and marmalade and a dry finish. Very enjoyable.

Aug 3, 2007 Updated: Nov 7, 2007Draught at the brewery. A golden beer, near orange with a beautiful white head. Pleasant malty aroma with strong notes of bread. Good. The flavour is malty with a good amoumnt of hops giving the right amount of bitterness. very good malt profile. A touch of smoke too.Light ABV, but medium body. Absolutely interesting, one of the best In this style.

Light copper golden color, good creamy off-white head. Rye-bread-malty nose. Rye, blackcurrant and grassy hops in the flavor. Medium-bodied. Some way personal but among Bamberg lagers, this is not among the best of them.
