On draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow with average-sized head. Bit milky aroma with quite som phenols. Big chewy mouthfeel with high C02. Banana esters and canned pears. Solid hefeweizen with good phenols in flavour, and the flavour lasts long!

(7/2/08) Draught at the brewpub in Bamberg. Cloudy yellow-orange. Aroma is wheaty with some fruitiness (some banana). Sweet wheaty flavor with some esters and some tartness towards the finish. Medium-bodied.

From tap at the brewery. Hazy, warm golden with a dense head. The aroma has light notes of clove and banana. the flavour has sweetness, notes of clove, banana, wheat and it’s like the cloves return/grow stronger in the finish. It’s not among the very best, but I ENJOYED it under a chestnut tree with all it’s new leaves on April 30, where everything in the nature around us was at least 14 days ahead of where we live :)

Bottled, 5,2% ABV. An unclear pale golden beer with a rocky and persistent white head. The aroma is not so powerful , but has nice fruity (lemon more than banana) and spicy (cloves) notes. The flavour has citric notes with hints of lemon and banana. Soft mouthfeel, medium body, some acidity, average carbonation (less than in other examples of the style), medium long finish. Not so filling and that’s a good thing. Interesting, quite original and thirst quenching Hefeweizen. I liked it.

Bottled. Very hazy golden appearance with a large, sticky white foam. Very fruity and fresh aroma of pears, banana, mild peaches with mild notes of cloves and minerals. Big phenolic juicy esters with a crescending fruity smooth flavour of dried oranges, wt grass, banana and almonds. Medium bodied. Dryish fruity aftertaste of dried oranges, green bananas and apricot. Low on spices. Really quaff able and refreshing, a great Weizen!
