pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Oct 19, 2008 Bottle: Very deep amber coloured, small, but stable off-white foamy layer; distinctive, dryish caramelly and coffeeish nose with a touch of toasted malt, too; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, quite soft MF; dry toasted-coffeeish finish. Good pleasant stuff.......... MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 12, 2008 (bottle) Unclear, dark brown, almost black coloured hue with a big and dense, slowly lacing beige foamy head. Slightly sweet roast-malty aroma, dusty and leafy nose with herbal hops and a whiff of cacao. Light-bitter, slightly burnt flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malt-character; dry and slightly burnt bitter finish with light herbal hops. A bit slim, but nevertheless tasty and longish Bavarian Schwarzbier (12.07.08).
