Good qualities as expected in a finely crafted beer of its ilk, spiciness and some fine fruity esters. Caramel and plum pudding in the aftertaste and good balance. thewolf (5838), Kolding, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2007 Bottle. Pours a muddy, slight red amber with a beautiful, cramy white head, settling fine on the liquid. Aroma is very spicy, some raisins, some coriander, some cinnamon, a milky creamyness to it all. Very full mouthfeel, seeing it has little carbonation. Flavour is a tad limited compared to the aroma. Quite vinious. Spicy flavours, some caramel, a feel of plums and raisins. Good, but the flavour could match the flavour better. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Bottled. Hazy amber, brief head. Aroma of ripe fruits. Sweet with clean, hard mouthfeel. Very drinkable for it’s size - I can’t believe it’s this strong. Leaning towards being light bodied. Also rather light in flavours - there are some dusty ripe apples but no bitterness. vanvenlo (794), Glen Iris, Australia

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2006 Aroma: initially some perfumy notes followed some malt and a little sharpness. Appearance: amber red and hazy with a big tan head made from large bubbles. Flavour: sweet malt with a hint of mocha and lots of stone fruit (complimentary to the perfumy notes in the aroma.) Palate: medium mouthfeel and leaves a slight mochery aftertaste. Stew41 (1058), Caulfield, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 7, 2006 Impressive looking beer. Big frothy head, ice cream floater style and glowing caramel tan. Very good nose with classic Belgian malt notes - strong lift, raisened fruits, good presence. Doesn’t really travel the distance in the mouth however with the attractive malt notes disappearing. Regardless has a decent lick of malty spice but suffers from an immediate comparison with a very good bouquet. Almost dilutive in flavour?
