| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 4, 2007 The pour reveals a good looking cloudy amber brown color with a thin bubbly white head and forcefull lines of bubbles going up with enthousiasm. The aroma has a semi-interesting sweetness, caramel and candied fruits, but that’s all. The flavor has some malt presence with the caramel and candied fruits, it’s not bad at all but lacks some complexity. The body is medium and supple, the palate isn’t disturbed by the carbonation. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Hazy dark amber hue, with a beige head, but falls quickly, yeasty, fruity nose of mild cranberry, passion fruit, and with a faint orange fruitiness, with some toasted and caramelized malts, and a subtle spicy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, faint acidic cranberry, a passion fruit fruity accent, a bit raisiny too with cookie dough and grainy toasted malt, with a warmth alcoholic mouthfeel, leading towards a warm fruity, dry finish. omhper (12245), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Bottled. Dark reddish amber, minimal head, some sediment. Fairly sweet with clean mouthfeel and surpsisingly slim body. There’s some fudge and black currant. Lightly grassy finish. Interesting flavours, but a bit hard in the mouth. sayravai (3752), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy, darkish red-amber color (like a dark sahti) with a small, quickly and mostly fading head. Aroma of sweetish, caramely toffee, red currants, and hints of licorice. Sweet and malty flavor with lots of caramely malt, fruit (both dried and fresh), and red currants. Alcohol is well hidden. Becomes a bit dull with yeast. Quite thin, medium-bodied, sticky palate with fizzy carbonation. A bit Dunkelweizen-like Belgian Strong, that tastes and smells pretty ok (although sweet), but falls short on palate and head. smcd (366), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 12, 2007 Medium, just off-white head that collapses quickly. Mellow, sweet, malty aromas. Big mouthfeel. Rich, caramel flavors, but not terribly complex. Slightly slick. jbaby (1), Australia does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 9, 2007 This is a amber/orange belgium blond with strong apricot/fruity mouth feel. The high alcohol content is masked by the strong body and the ’hefe’ element of this beer adds to its character. Our sample was a corked 750ml sample, with three of us testing. Outstanding beer - very fruity.
