Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England Jan 31, 2008 Bottle at Chris_o’s. Slightly hazy, golden beer. Sweet and sugary, some spice.
Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Jul 16, 2008 Courtesy of Fonefan. Dark brown with a red hue and an OK head. The aroma is fruity, but in an artificial way like in a soda. The same goes for the flavour, that reminds me of a beer mixed with raspberry soda. It’s not a fruit beer, so I think it’s a bit weird... FatPhil (2089), Espoo, Finland Mar 10, 2008 330ml bottle (Delirium, Brussels)
Brown. Malty aroma, fairly sweet. Taste follows that trend - pretty big on sweet maltiness. Palate, however, is pretty soft, but then I also feel it’s sticky, and yet also I feel it’s thin. Pleasant, and not half as confusing as these notes make it appear. gunnfryd (2732), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 9, 2007 Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is apple, sweet, alcohol, orange. Flavour is sweet, apple, alcohol, orange, raspberry. Complex beer. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Oct 29, 2007 Bottle. Typical Belgian brune, sweet with a yeasty profile. Also got some raw alcohol in the finish, which knocked a few points off. Sweet caramel and brown sugar notes also come through. A bit predictable.
