joss (3146), Garching b. München, Germany Jun 30, 2007 Bottle. Hazy red, big creamy lacing golden head. Aromatic hop and light toasted aromanotes, not much smoke - just a bit fire in the background. CreamyWellrounded fruity sweet malty base with a nice broad aromatic hop balance. Smoke lingers in the background - just a little bit in the back of the throat. Creamy and sparkly mouthfeel, fullbodied and chewy. Easily their best beer. Aldrighetti (161), Coltura, Italy Sep 29, 2003 On tap. Large size head, creamy, off white. Good lacing, glass sticking. Body is cloudy, dark amber, not filtered.
Light smoke aroma, moderate malty, toasted. Initial flavor is moderate sweet, light bitter. The bitterness don't increase in finish. The smokiness increase in aftertaste when the bier warms up. Medium body, creamy textur, with a lively carbonation. Very enjoyable if pair it with weisswuerst and other Bavarian wuerst.
