lightly hazy gold color, medium white head, pretty lacy. mild grainy aroma, sour notes, hints of corn. malty backbone in the flavor, with hints of spice and corn and bread. light bodied, dry finish. rather enjoyable, if mild, brew.

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje. Pours straw gold with micro thin off white head. The aroma is grainy malts, sweet malts and vague hops that hint toward citrus. The taste starts with a nice hoppiness moving into grainy malts and sweet malts. The mix of varied malt notes and hops makes for a very pleasing Pilsner.

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje. Pours a clear yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet with notes of corn, grass, bread, yeast, some hints of honey and floral hops. Flavor is really much of the same with notes of roasted corn, yeast and bread. Generally light body with a slight sweet, slightly malty finish.

courtesy of rrg1gb as extras. Pours golden, white head. Aroma of sweet corn and hops. Taste of floral hops, corn, light malts and caramel with some grains. The aroma makes up for the boring taste.

Bottle, courtesy sebletitje. Pours a slightly hazy yellowish hue, with a filmy white head and lacing. Aroma of corn, apples, dry grain and a wheat finish in the end. Corny grain flavors, slight dry wheat. Dry finish. So exciting!

Bottle from Friar Tuck in St. Louis. Golden color with a large finely bubbled head. Lots of grassy hop in the aroma, with perhaps some light bread beneath. Body is medium; carboation is frothy. Flavor is nicely grassy bitter, with some malt - hops 1, malt less than 1. It has a nice clean bitter finish. Does somewhat resemble a Bohemian product. Quite like the ending.

01-May-08 (12-oz bottle: Free sample bottle for stewarding the 2008 World Beer Cup in San Diego, CA) Not sure what kind of "golden pilsener" this is. In the glass, it’s golden-orange in color and extremely hazy, bordering on cloudy. A large, billowing head fills the top two inches of the glass with large bubbles and despite the expectation of a fast-falling head, it never settles below half an inch. And though the ringed lacing is a little sloppy, ringed lacing is still impressive. The pleasant but un-pilsener-like nose is grassy and mildly grainy, but also very fruity like fresh apricots and smells slightly of diacetyl. Again, mildly sweet, fresh stone fruits shine through in the flavor, almost pushing aside the mildly bitter, citrusy backing. Grainy malts are most definitely a background flavor. Despite the overactive heading, this beer is somewhat low in carbonation on the palate. The medium body is too heavy for a pilsener and not at all clean or refreshing. Forgetting that this is supposed to be a pilsener, it’s not a bad-tasting beer. But how the brewery thought this beer had a shot at winning a World Beer Cup medal in the German style pilsener is beyond me.

This beer wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Pours a golden color. Aroma is grassy. This is a well balances beer. Would get this again. This is an easy drinking beer
