Martin1190 (2), Paris, France does not count Mar 25, 2007 Fabulous Weizenbeer . . . try anything you can get from this brewery including the maerzen which is fab also. wheatbeerboy (96), Addison, Illinois, USA Oct 19, 2006 Wow! Fantastic weisse beer. I ’m having a hard time understanding why this beer has been rated as "just average". This beer belongs in the same class with New Glarus, Weihenstephaner, Ayinger and Schneider. If you are a weisse beer kinda’ guy, you gotta’ try this stuff. Very underrated beer in my opinion. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Sep 30, 2002 Could be the best German-style wheat beer i’ve ever had, even though its from Austria. Cloudy mangoey nectar colour, beautiful white fluffy head, with fantastic lace. Huge banana esters aroma as per mentions. Simply amazing flavour. Lots of banana, some tart tangy acidity. Cloves, perhaps some spice, quite nectary, with some mango, lemon and peach in their, nice soft yeast caharcter aswell. Absoluetly world class, Once again Per, you’ve done the job!!!! Thanks for this man!!!! Beautifull stuff. omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden May 14, 2002 Comes out mustard yellow and very hazy with rich head. Nice estery banana aroma. Softly malty, vanilla flavour, slightly sweet. A very refreshing and well made hefeweizen. drpimento (534), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Dec 31, 2005 Poured with a lovely great foamy rocky textured head and a little lace. Hazy burnished golden color. Nice spicy banana clove and bit of nutty/bitter tree bark (from yeastoids) aroma. Notice a softness to the flavor along with the banana clove stereotypical profile taste. A little sweeter than other hefes. Interesting and a nice change of pace. Got this as a sample of a beer that’s soon to be stocked at Bodega downtown La Crosse.
