FunkyBrewster (205), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 30, 2008 Thanks 17thfloor! Pours a hazy dark yellow orange color with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is very sweet and banana with the yeast with some definite bubble gum maltiness. Small bit of spice and hops are also present. Flavor starts very sweet and mily banana and bubble gum. The spice appears in the middle and some hop bitterness comes in the finish that balances while still retaining a nice wheat softness. Medium-full body and average carbonation. A very well done hefe that perfectly balances sweet, bitter, and spicy. CelticBrew (536), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Oct 12, 2008 Poured a hazy light golden color, forming white foamy head, aroma of lemony grapes, vinegar, hops and wheat grain. Flavour of sourness, yet with banana, cloves and a malt character. An ok, quite quaffable hefe. Bought at Sam Quik Stop in Durham, NC. shrubber85 (2598), COB Speicher, Iraq Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Banana, clove, wheat malt aroma - hint of vinegar. Hazy yellow color with small head. Banana and sour wheat malt flavor. This bottle a bit past its prime but still can tell this is a well made Hefe. nuplastikk (511), USA Sep 24, 2008 500ml bottle. Hazy yellow color Creamy and yeasty, displaying some excellent Wit characteristics,,,,hold up, this one is clearly labeled as a White Beer under the Weisse, not a Hefeweizen. Perhaps a little heavier hopped than most White Ales, but not overboard. A great beer.
