Flavor is like honey, nutty and baby food. it feels prickely and medium bodied. this is something i wouldn’t drink all the time but would buy again. Slayer85 (593), Firenze, Italy
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 21, 2007 Bottled. A clear blonde beer, with a medium sized and disappearing white head. Quite sweet malty aroma with slight spicy and peppery notes and a hint of alcohol. The flavour has some fruitiness and a light bitterness in the finish. Dry, light to medium bodied with high carbonation (perhaps too high). The aftertaste is not so long. Far from bad, but too industrial and not satisfacting. sm89walt (467), Norwich, Norfolk, England

The white head, despite being small holds itself nicely. Fruity pineapple aromas, althouth rather more subtle in comparison with the last few Belgian beers I’ve drunk. The flavours are sweet and appley with a thick and dryish mouthfeel. A pleasant bitter finish slowly descends upon the tongue, rounding this off to an enjoyable close. Not overly complex but highly enjoyable. joe19612 (702), camberley, Surrey, England

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Bottle. Very light in color, blond and clear. Bright white foamy head. Fizzy and water consistency. Strong "beer" (hops & yeast) smell. Reminded me more of a Pilsner than an ale. Crisp clean taste, lite and refreshing. Good summer beer. demdeac40 (242), Etowah, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 9, 2007 Pours a light straw color with a nice bright white head. The nose is light but just a touch of fruit with a little bready yeast. What was missing in the nose comes through a little better in the mouth. The front to mid palate relatively bursts with friuit followed by a gentle maltiness and a little bread dough. Finishes crisp with just a slight sweetness lingering in the after taste. charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA

Has a typical fruity/yeasty Belgian aroma. Tastes sweet with only some phenolics and hoppiness to balance it out. Not as dry and refreshing as other examples. biznizness (956), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 1, 2007 I am a fan of Grimbergen, since the first time I had one in Brussels. I thought this was a delicious beer... until I saw that it was supposed to be a tripel. I had to dock it some based on that, because it would be a great generic blonde ale of some sort. Snorin’ Sam .
