Nose was notably buttery and sweet and some sort of chalky inkyness that put me off a bit. Taste was similar lacking the inkyness but something is getting in the way perhaps the yeast is creating a fruit character i dont like.

See through golden body with a small white head and some good lacing down the sides. Aroma of grains, some honey, bananas, cloves and just a hint of apples. Yeasty taste with some bananas, cloves, a bit of apples, and just a touch of malts. Feels full in the mouth yet lively at the same time. I really enjoyed this one.

Draft. Clear golden color. Head was thick and white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of clove and various fruits, most notably melon and pear. Slightly sweet with clove, fruit, and spicy floral hop flavors. Very good.

Slight musky but spicy aroma. Golden colour with a decent white head. Smooth but pleasant rich flavour. Subtle hints of spice. Fruity after notes. Nice beer.

Pour was a disappointing clear gold with no head. Slight aroma of yeast but not much else. Taste was of yeast and some fruit. Medium carbonation in a style that should be heavy. All in all a medium to poor tripel.

Drank with Ramenen. Bottle: Fruity taste, strong notes of pineapple and banana. Complex, lots of malts, cloudy and refreshing. Liked it.

Fruity, malty taste is right. This abbey ale is far more drinkable than many offerings that earn a higher rating on ths site. I’d drink this again
