This is a decent beer- I can’t say nothing original about the flavor compounds- all the previous comments are pretty much true. The Tripel is much better. The beers were much better about 12 years ago- trust me! I know the gentleman who used to import it into this country- Jeffrey House of Thames America. Strange, but many beers used to be better than they are now.

Golden, medium sized white head. Very yeasty aroma. Malty flavour with yeast and notes of bananas. Perfumy. A bit like dish water - in a positive sense, if there is any...

(Bottle) Pours golden with small white head. Floral and fruit notes. A little malty and alcoholic. Not bad, but I like their Doppel much better.

Clear amber/gold with a large, but collapsing white head and decent lace. Yeasty aroma with some light fruitiness. Lively effervescence, medium body. Fruit based sweetness, slight yeasty sourness, followed by just the lightest of hops to dry things up a bit.

11.2 oz bottle, no freshness date.
Dark golden, two finger head, sticky lace.
Aroma is fresh and slightly fruity. Ripe banana, honey, sugar, some biscuty malt.
Flavor is sweet, cooked banana with some honey and a dusting of hops.
Kind of ho-hum. It’s a pricey beer, and i expected more.

Pours a nice golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is very hefe-like, with some banana, fruity hops and sugar. Flavor is sweet malt, biscuits, and almost a plum-like fruitness. Very little hop presence. Tasty.

Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is candy sugars, bit of yeast, some hops, light fruits. Flavor is light fruits, yeastiness, with the bitterness and candy sugar coming through in the end. Suprisingly bitter for a belgian.
