Nov 23, 2009 Bottle at Tom’s Tasting, April 2009. Very spicy, rather sweet. I found it a bit sickly. Inoffensive but I thought it had more in common with Kronenbourg Blanche than a traditional Belgian Wit. Surprised to see how high this has scored.

Lovely sweet fruity spicy aroma - corriander. Crisp carbonation, sweet
smooth palate. Spicy corriander and wheat taste, not as crisp as a
normal wit, but still quite tasty. Finish pleasant milky wheaty
finish, tiny touch of hops too. Covers the alcohol completely.

Oct 29, 2009 0.25l bottle from Auchan Illkirch-Graffenstaden. Hazy pale yellow colour with a mid-sized white head. Fruity-spicy nose. Full-bodied, wheaty and malty with lots of spices like coriander, cinnamon, clove and a nice touch of citrus fruit always in the background. Not too dry, but not too sweet either, a well-balanced witbier. I didn’t expect to like this, but I think it might be one of the nicest beers of the style I’ve tasted so far.

Oct 21, 2009 Light yellow hazy body and white head. Heavy citrus aroma and light malt aroma of bread and grain. Medium sweet. Bitterness is not exiting. Not good. Perfumed and artificial.

Some bubble gum aroma. Rather full bodied wit, cereals, soft fruit, a hint of lemon. Somehow it ends up being a bit too heavy.

Oct 4, 2009 On tap at La Maroquinerie in Paris, in a plastic cup. Poured without any head, rather cool for this kind of beer, which is unfortunate but intentional. Smells very good, but again not enough aromas as it was chilled too much. Has a good sweet taste profile, not too citrusy and a good semi-dry finish. Better than the other options available on tap at the time.

Oct 4, 2009 Draught, in a bar in France. I don’t know if there was something wrong with the beer, but it was not nice to drink. Gold-blonde coloured, small head, aroma of citrus. Tastes like sweetened orange (sinas, fanta, that thing). No good finish (bitter, artificial). brrr
