Musty caramel and muted spices along with some alcohol in the aroma. Hazy amber-gold body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled, off white head that lasts and laces. Very fruity flavour has a fair amount of cabbagey DMS and some doughy yeast. Medium body is fairly dry with soft but lively carbonation. Bottle (Bièropholie, Jun-05) sampled with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

Dark amber color, medium light brown head. Spices, fruits, caramel and mild licorice in aroma. Medium bodied. Spicy, hopped and mildly caramelly flavor, aftertaste has mild spices and roastiness with some tangy tones. Little bit of everything but still not very well balanced Ale.

Light brown color, white head, but a surpringly weak nose. The mouth was more interesting with spices, chocolatey and earthy notes. Midly sweet malty finish. Think I drank this a bit too cold.

Light copper in color with a small off-white head. Aroma of mild malt and spices. Flavor is very clean with a subtle amount of warming alcohol.

Bottle. Weak, peppery, malty aroma. Clear, dark amber colour. Unstable head. Clearly peppery flavour, a bit sweet. Seems to have a certain unpleasant flavour, not quite vegetable, but in that league. Slightly rough/sour bitterness.

Dark brown with white froathy head. Sweet to the nose, but also has a hint of sourness. Very smooth with a bitter carmel finish.

330 ml bottle consumed in the generous company of tiggmtl, MartinT and Rastacouere. Dark bloody amber with a large, lasting frothy head....damp, musty nose with light green herbs and muted caramel....fairly dry in the body with quite light fruitiness (peaches, dates), moderate yeastiness....a decent malt background keeps this one drinkable, but hardly memorable (especially at the end of a long tasting).
