Amber, unclear. Off-white short head. Malty aroma. Good carbonation. Fresh flavour with a hint of underlying sourness. Some malty sweetness. Sad to say, average and a bit boring abbey style brew.

(Bottled) Clear, deep, reddish amber color with a small, lacy and tanned head. Very mild, slightly tart and nutty-woody aroma with a hint of cherry. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty, tart and vinous flavor with lots of caramel. Alcohol comes up strongly in the finish. Seems to get quite a bit sweeter as it warms up. Medium-bodied, a bit thin, empty and metallic palate with quite low carbonation. I can’t recall another dark belgian strong ale that says "serve chilled" in the label. Something between biere de garde, flemish sour ale, vienna and european strong lager. Not something I’d buy again.

Bottle, 33cl. Reddish colour ale with a beautiful and persistent beige head. Nice malty aroma with hints of alcohol. Strong flavour, a little metalic but overall good. Not my favorite belgian strong ale but nevertheless a good one.

Bottled:
Very malty aroma, notes of fruits, heavy alcohol and nutts. Light amber, reddish color, frothy white head. Flavor is sweet, plums, malt, oranges, spieces and some sourness in the end. Dry, astringent finish with some alcohol notes. Good beer.

AMber with a nice offwhite head. Very pleasant malty nutty aroma with some vanilla and some cream. Fruity notes. Nutty flavor, malty and with a vinous feeling. Some spices and with a creamy finish.

Hazy dark amber-orangeish hue, with a rocky tan-colored foamy head, with lacing, yeasty, grainy, fruity aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with sweet roasted malt, caramel malt, brown sugar, hint of spicyness, note of maltiness, chocolatey accent, in a soft sweet malted finish.
