| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 29, 2008 Bottle: Barely see-through brown color with a small cream colored head. Musty and tart aromas of pitted fruit as well as green apples. Sweet flavors dominate, but not grainy sweetness. Flavors of ripe fruit mainly with a leathery aftertaste. Not bad. Thanks BuckeyBoy for sharing! IndianaRed (1562), Boise, Idaho, USA

Taste to me seems very metallic, quite sweet and malty but metal comes over above all else.
Not awful but I did not particularly enjoy this beer. I’ve certainly had better. robinvboyer (1444), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 24, 2008 bottle from daknole, thanks! typical doubel pour, dark mahogany color, with a big beige head. Aroma is metallic, with some ripe fruit, plums, apple, figs, and raisins, with some mealy malt to round it out. Flavour is sweet, with more raisins, and some plums, with a good malt backbone to balance things. The metallica taste seems to linger. The Finish is smooth, sweet, no bitterness. a decent double, but i wouldnt drink this everyday. I just cant kick the metallic flavour. gam (1123), brisbane, Australia

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2008 Refreshing sourness compliments a sweet brown sugar aroma interlaced with tobacco, dried fruit, and a touch of mocha. Clear, but dark red-brown with some white wisps on top. Flavour is a touch sour, sort of a cider vinegary sourness, along with some nice toasty and chocolatey malt and dried fruit and brown sugar. A bit sweet, but this seems to completely hide any ethanol flavour together with a gentle, woody bitterness. Light body with low carbonation and a lasting, brown sugary bitterness. Very nice.
