On tap at New World Brewery in Ybor City. pours a dark brownish red with a one finger white-tan head that lingers. Aroma: sweet, hints of caramel and toffee. Flavor: sweetness, ripe fruit, caramel. Somewhat quick, watery finish.

I really liked this one. Very fruity aroma with spices. Flavor was very sweet with floral and toffee notes. Very fruity again. Alcohol was blended quite well for being a lighter bodied brew. Would buy again.

Deep hazy copper color. Creamy head with thick lace. Taste is of apple/cherry juice and a tart finish. It does have a brandy like finish.

I had a Grimbergen Blonde last week back home in WI, and enjoyed it for a number of reasons, including the fact that it was on-special for $3! The double was not so cheap, but was pleasantly surprising. The beer was served far too cold and in a strange glass choice (a pint glass, which may have come from a fridge) when I tried it at The Bulldog in New Orleans. Still, you could tell it had a bright copper color and abundant head. Due to its 33 degree serving temperature (which while sub-optimal for reviewing, was kind of nice given how hot and humid it was outside), I got very little aroma off of this beer. Flavor was quite nice though; with a substantial malty backbone (substantial without being cereal-y) complemented by a lot of fruit notes that were cherry and raisin-like. Mouthfeel was unremarkable, but what I’d expect from the style. Pretty good. I’d recommend. I had this on-draft at The Bulldog in New Orleans.

Bottle - Pours a reddish brown with a big tan head that quickly departs. Sour cherry/cough syrup aroma that is not very appealing. Sugary, cherry, toffee flavor. Had better.
