Bottle - Pours a reddish brown with a big tan head that quickly departs. Sour cherry/cough syrup aroma that is not very appealing. Sugary, cherry, toffee flavor. Had better.

Vörösesbarna színű és igen látványos kemény habbal rendelkező apátsági sör.Pörkölt malátás,gyümölcsös és édes mind illatában és ízében.Kiváló kísérő desszertekhez.

On tap in Barcelona @ cafe Kasparo. Cola colored reddish dark pour with pretty good head and lacing. Sweet fruits on the nose, candi sugar, some ester profile. Flavor is fruity sweetness with a touch of roastyness. Light to medium body with clean finish. A nice surprise amongst the predominant lagers.

Bottled. Actulaly not as bad for a semi-mass market belgian. Pours dark and with some sugary molasses tones, moderate head. drinkable.

Bottle. Aroma is very lager-like, it feels like some dark lager with just a light fruitiness and some roasted malt. Flavour is pretty much the same. It feels thin and boring in the mouth. Maybe I’ve got a bad bottle?

Fuck. I’m not even sure why I even bothered to crack this guy open. I’m tired and it poured pretty lackluster. Yeah, whatever head was there stuck around for the 30 minutes or so before I started to drink it, but it still could not overcome the sickly sweet syrupy liquid that lives underneath the silky foam. Meh, nother candy double.

This is a phenomenal beer. Very little hop flavor, so beer purists may not view this as a "top notch" beer, but in my book it is amazing. Pours a fairly small head. Very yeasty and a bit sweet. No alchohol burn here. Great on tap or in bottle.

sweet but not as bad as a lambic. nice oddly medium-light taste of cocoa and butter. yeasty and bready. low alcohol content keeps it from having that whiskey as it warms. easy to drink, surprisingly not as heavy as i thought it was going to be.
