| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Pretty middle of the road stuff for a real Belgian dubbel. Principal impressions were of sweet chocolate and prune juice and raisins. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2007 [bottle] Pours a very clear ruby color. A short-lived tan head falls quickly, leaving some decent lacing. Very nice malt and sweet alcohol aroma. Plum, raisin and toffee flavors, along with some considerable alcohol warmth. Finishes with plenty of residual sweetness and some interesting fruity esters. Not the best Dubbel in the world, but a very nice addition to the weak NH bottle selection. ucusty (1913), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
