Punta metallica più accentuata che nella Tripel (che rimane la mia preferita della linea Grimbergen). BDR (2169), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2007 Bottle -- Clear dark, dark ruby red with medium carbonation. Medium to large beige head with OK retention and lots of lacing. Very sweet malty caramel aroma. A nice touch of alcohol warmth in the flavour with more malty sweetness. Perhaps a suggestion of rich dried fruits as well, a little simple, though. Its overall sweet smoothness is balanced out by a certan astringent edge in the aftertaste. A nice drop. hughie (3081), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 17, 2007 Red brown with a beige head. Sweet yeast and malt aroma. Sweet malty taste with some alcohol. Late bitterness. Easy drinking Dubbel, but not one I’m going to remember for long. hepburn82 (141), Scotland

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber coloured with a rather large dense off-white head. Quite sweet with notes of malt, berries, bread, caramel and spices. Bit too sweet and unbalanced. thenick (746), North Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2007 On tap, at a cafe in Brussels. Pours the typical reddish-brown that is the hallmark of any dubbel. The aroma is malty with some spicy notes as well. Taste is heavily malty with a bit of a fruit taste to it as well. Smooth and very drinkable, though the end is a tad on the watery side. derst27 (35), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA
