Aroma of dark breads with a sweet hint of chocolate and caramel. Caramel in the flavor along with more dark bread. A bit sweet throughout. Sticky finish, but still pleasant. jglazer75 (11), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Smells almost entirely of malt with slight caramelization. Surprisingly light palate (med-light body). Very lightly hopped, malty. A lot of complaints have noted that it is too sweet, or that there is a metallic taste; neither of which I get. While there are complaints that it is one-sided (unbalanced - presumably towards the malt), the light carbonation and light-ish body seem to offset the typically cloying/alcohol tastes found in such beers. jimhilt (1689), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2007 330 ml bottle. Thin greyish head leaving fine laces. Clear dark brown colored and well carbonatied body with a red hue. Low aroma level. Pleasant and distant notes of sweet dark malts, caramel and raisins, with some whiffs of citrus. Taste is nutty, sweet malty with some dried dark fruits to it.
Limited hopbitterness. Mild and smooth mouthfeel. Not extraordinaire, but a nice one. jalichio999 (502), Brazil
