Amber/brown. Pours nicely clear. Malty aromas ... few hops. Hints of dried frut and caramel throughout. Slightly oily and an almost non-existent finish.

Drank with Stegosaurus and Beereded_one at Newton brew fest. Poured a reddish brown. Head dissapeared quickly. Mild brown sugar aroma with hints of fruit. Weak after taste but not a bad beer in all.

Pours out a dark brown/amber with a medium sized light brown/beige foamy head. Aroma of of malts, brown sugars, caramel, hazelnut. Nice smooth dubbel, flavored with raisins, figs, definite malts, with a particular caramel ending. Not my favorite style, but still yet a fine beer from our friends in Belgium!

Wonderful trapista beer of century XI… It deserves respect for the tradition and the magnificent flavor. Black color, fort and with amadeirado flavor. One honors to drink it!

Draught. Pours a deep copper colour with a pretty fantastic lacy off-white head. Fruity aroma, some forest fruit, toffee and rum... sounds great but really is nothing too special. I liked the mouthful though, medium body and well balanced sweetness. Flavours of fruity esters and chocolate nuttiness, quite good really. Finish is medium length and carries a little of the sweetness.

Large beige head with a load of lacing atop a burgundy colored body. Yeasty, dried fruit aroma with hints of anise. Sweet malt taste, caramel, toffee and ripe fruit. Medium bodied mouthfeel, but overly carbonated. Lingering finish
