Goodgrief (991), Middletown, Delaware, USA Apr 14, 2008 Pour was chestnut brown with very small head, but a nice foam which coated the beer throughout. Aroma was of musty fruit and yeast. The flavor was similar, musty and overripe fruit...reminded me of biting into a gooey banana or past its prime apple. Some balancing bitterness and a good level of carbonation. I can’t say that I found this one all that pleasant.
mybestfriend (223), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark amber colour. Aroma is of sweet fruits with some spices on top. The flavour is sweet and fruity with notes of belgian yeast and spices. An OK double...that could have been more complex. nimbleprop (536), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jul 1, 2008 Scored this in a trade with daknole. Many thanks! Stubby 330ml bottle pours a translucent, deep amber brown with a frothy beige head. There was also plenty of sediment in the bottle. Nose is filled with bread dough, some dark candy, banana and maybe a little grape jelly. Flavor is fruity, apples and pears, and a little doughy. Finish is wet and sugary. azlondon (454), Greater London, England Jul 1, 2008 Appearance: Dark brown, hint of red. OK amount of lasting head. Lots when warmer.
Aroma: Sweet, malt. Slightly metallic. Prunes.
Taste: Dark malt, slightly sweet. Bitter.

Interesting aroma of grapes and soy sauce with a taste that follows suit. I really liked it, my one buddy wasnt such a fan. shanepardue (58), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Jun 28, 2008 Pour dark walnut with thick white head. Malty with a light caramel aftertaste. Enjoyable beer.
