Bottled, at Resi's Bierstube, Chicago, December 03. Powerful butterschocolte aroma, knocked heads with the Weihenstephaner I was drinking; much as I liked that, I wanted more of this as well (my friend was drinking it) but alas we had had enough and were driving in snow. Extremely sweet and malty, a bit of tobacco thrown in, mid-to-low yeast level, I feel I'm overrating this but it was wonderful. Sometimes the company helps the beer, a lot.

does not count  Aug 18, 2008 bottle. pours a dark ruby red colour with a good head. sweet aroma. taste is bitter/sweet and the aftertaste is very good.

Aug 17, 2008 ...draft at european beer cafe. Cherries on the nose, with a nice dark brown colour and lively carbonation. Decent sized off-white head that lasted till the end with good lacing. Flavor was nice, caramel, roasted malt, with some brandy and hints of dark fruits. Easy drinking, smooth, well balanced. Some slight spice notes in the relatively dry finish, with a good aftertaste. A good beer than I had not tried before, and will be having again.

Aug 12, 2008 11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a brown color with a large off-white head. Aromas of yeast and sweet carmel. Nice balance b/w the hops and the malt. Medium bodied and spicy.
