Commercial Description:
This is a strong blonde beer, full of character with tertiary fermentation in the bottle yet still very accessible. Alc. 8% vol. Taste: The traditional Grimbergen recipe is enriched here trough the use of aromatic hops, which gives the beer its refined bitterness and hoppy character. The result is a refreshingly strong blonde beer.

Nice looking beer, slightly hazy, but that’s my fault, lovely thick long lasting bottle conditioned white head, leavin’ a good lace. Cant pick up a lot on the nose, perhaps a bit of spice and sweetish malt. The palate has similar characteristics, the finish is pretty short however, and ends with a rather harsh edge, has to be said I find this very disappointing,as I like the other Grimbergen beers I’ve tried, thats life I suppose! I found this in a Dutch shop on Hawick High Street....very bizarre place! Small but interesting range of beers tho!

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, fruit, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, yeast, and fruit, leading to a dry lightly spicy finish.

Bottle, pours fizzy yellow with a 2 finger high head. Aromas of sugar cane, hops, and lemon zest. Highly carbonated mix of light malt and light bitterness. The 8 percent is masked well, but this is still rather boring.

Bottle, 8%. Sweet and fruity aroma with some rough hop or perhaps alcohol notes. Hazy golden colour. Very big stable white head. The flavour is quite malty with some fruit and yeast. Again, there are some rough notes, alcohol or the hops or both. High carbonation.
